Welcome to our newer 12 Step National Meetings members…:wavey:

Many of us are winning over alcohol…and Yes! you can too…:yup:

Low Middle or High….the point is to abstain from a toxic liquid that damages mind ..body and those who care about you.
For me…that required many changes and action.

Wishing everyone the joy of recovery….:)

    Hello all,

I just joined soberrecovery. I’m a high functioning alcoholic. I have 9 days of sobriety and seeking counciling. I haven’t attempted AA yet, however, my counciler suggests it. I’m a vodka drinker. A pint in the evenings after work and usually 2 bottles over the weekend. I “Neverthough” I’d be in the position I’m in now. Nevertheless, It’s been the best, honest 9 days that I’ve had in 10 years.

Over the past 5 years, I’ve realized I was dieing a slow death. I couldn’t stop by myself, so, I decided to come clean and hold myself accountable. I broke down and told my wife and most of family. I’ve made the commitment and refuse to let my loved ones down.

They new I liked to drink, but no one new the extent and all were super shocked. It’s amazing how well one can hide their precious secret. I just have too much to lose. Anyway, that’s my story and I’m stick’n to it! Thanks for having me!
