    Hi Zebra!
I took Oxycontin for 3 years. At the height of my addiction, I was taking about 200mg per day.
I’ve been clean for about a month.
I’m new to this site as well.
Be sure to have some Immdium AD.
Sleep will be hard for some time. I bought Valerian Root to help with anxiety and sleep.
    Lots of water.

First things first, Kari. WELCOME to 12 Step National Meetings and congratulations on wanting to get clean!
Now… to the nitty gritty. This statement concerns me. I also had several reasons that I couldn’t go to my doctor when I was withdrawing. Those reasons led to me using twelve days after detoxing, even though I knew that there was absolutely no way that I would EVER use again! The bridges have to be burned. It’s pretty much impossible for an addict not to cross back over them if they are there.

When I was three days into detoxing, I couldn’t stand the restless legs any longer and had to go to the ER for a Catapres patch, which helped IMMENSELY! Once I had the patch, the hot baths and heating pad on my legs afterwards, allowed me a couple of hours of sleep at a time. It felt like heaven! Had I told my doctor, she could have given me a script for Chlonidine from the beginning.
