Since becoming sober I have had to look deep inside myself and find out exactly who I am. I have found that I had to relearn how to enjoy life, friends, and really everything I do without drinking. Its funny how you think you are such a great time when you’re drunk, being loud and laughing BUT when you are drunk your perception of EVERYTHING is so distorted. I have came out of the “fog” of alcohol and I have to say GOD is good, life is beautiful and I know I am on the path GOD has laid out for me. I have become free of my anger and destructive ways. AA has such a magnificent effect, I pray that anyone that is in need looks to their higher power and attends AA. God bless you all, and to anyone who is stuggling PLEASE remeber you are not alone!!! :turn:

    Hi Miller-

    Yes, I totally agree.

For my entire adult life, I’ve used alcohol to deal with life.

Take away the alcohol and I’m having to re-learn so many things.

It’s not all bad though, some of it is a lot of fun 🙂

    GREAT attitude!

    Kjell~

    That’s my current struggle lol

I’m agnostic as well so higher power doesn’t do it for me…. 🙁

Happy to hear you’re doing well though 🙂
