that is so nice of you. We can do it!!! yeah yeah we can!!!!
    will think of you to!!

As it’s said in the rooms: “our best thinking got us here”. My best thinking caused my life to become unmanageable. In order to successfully work this program, we must give up our old ways of thinking and become willing to follow suggestions by those in the rooms who are in recovery, who are doing what we could not do for ourselves.

I began seeing the first fruits of this program when I found a sponsor. I found somebody with some clean time and a good sense of the program, someone I could easily identify with, and I followed his suggestions as if my life depended on it. If you want recovery, and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, then ask those in the program how they did it, then do what they did.

Today I can’t afford to be an “ism”= I Sponsor Myself. Nor can I afford to cling to my old ideas, for it’s my old ideas that got me drunk.

    Hope that helps.

Be blessed, and may you find your path.

I understand completely how anxiety can hold you back. I deal with it too. Thing is if you can push past it and get a good sponsor that anxiety isn’t going to stick around. Once you’re comfortable with them you’ll have another support, not to mention another victory of having overcome hesitation because of anxiety.

    Head first and eyes closed.
