I’m still working on step 3, I’m still dealing with the “turning my life over”. It sounds great, and I believe I will, but most days I’m so caught up in just finishing a day of work, I’m not fully turned over to GOD. Yet I’m almost done with step 4, is it too early, or can I do 2 steps at one time, or I’m I too obsessed with that completion thing.

    Hiya Krug-

Remember, step 3 is simply making a decision. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

When you were a kid and you decided to ride a bike, did you just take off and become the best BMX biker kid in the world? Or did you stumble a bit and learn over time?

Same thing with living for God’s will. You will get better at it and you’ve got your whole life to work on it.

Just make the decision and move on to what’s next.

    GREAT job.

step 3 starts coming into fruition when we know what it is we are handing over…i here folk telling newcomers to “hand it over” all the time and it drives me nuts!
    hand WHAT over???????
thats what your step 4 is for…so you can see in black and white your defects of character…this is what we make a begining on handing over….
then when you do your step 5 with your sponsor there will be a lot of truth revealed…more stuff to hand over…then in 6 and 7 we become willing to let go of the stuff that is no longer acceptable to live by and then when entirely ready ask God to remove them… its a process…..getting your step 4 finished and trusting the process is the way forward!
