If you’re in the process of looking for a drug treatment center, don’t feel alone. The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports on trends of abuse. It is a big trend. It is difficult to estimate the actual numbers of addicts not only because people don’t announce their addiction, but also because they deny it publicly, sometimes even to themselves. In fact, sometimes whole families engage in an elaborate charade that approximates normalcy…and it continues until something finally collapses in their dysfunctional familial system.

Because of the high number of drug users and addicts, there are a lot of drug treatment centers around. In fact, there are facilities which are available even if you have no money or insurance available. Substance Abuse Treatment Services which are governmentally approved are listed through a government office known as SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, which is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
